| e-Drivers License System |
| Secure Tech Consultancy has developed an e-Drivers License Solution that gives extensive control to traffic authorities. The e-Drivers License is equipped with a secure RFID chip to bear the license holders unique personal information and the history of their traffic violations. Data violations are electronically retrieved from handheld devices assigned to traffic police, anda transferred daily to local police stations and the central server. Major components of the e-Drivers License system are the Issuance System to manage the issuance of cards and
Violation Management System to manage the history of traffic violations of drivers. It also has an SMS based system to remind traffic violators the penalty points and unpaid traffic tickets. |
| Key Features are following: |
| |
Centralized, contactless RFID based e-Driver’s License Issuance System to counteract/minimize identity theft related to driving licenses and associated misuse. |
The e-Drivers License system, which is designed around a central server/database from which the Driving License number is uniquely generated, has been implemented in a distributed architecture. |
However, license printing takes place only after real time verification from central server (where the record is verified against different associated databases) and generation of unique License number from the central database server. |
Centralized License number generation ensures control and elimination of duplicate license issuance by different states/branch offices. |
Integrated with Violation Management System, which is used by traffic officers in the field to |
| |
| * |
Access driver’s violation history in the field, by using hand held devices/PFDAs to access the data stored on the RFID chip. |
| * |
Record new violations and fines imposed on the chip. |
Includes a SMS module which will be controlled through the management console. This module is responsible for sending alerts and notifications to customers and law enforcement officers through an automated system. |
| The Issuance System manages the e-drivers licenses by issuing renewing,
cancelling and re-issuing the RFID cards. The issuance branches connect to the central issuance system to update data in real-time or in batches. The system also works in cohesion with other national databases such as the Civil
Registration System, Police Blacklist database and Vehicle Registration System. |
| |
| Main Characteristics of the e-Driver’s License System: |
| |
Polycarbonate, Teslin or PVC cards with security printing. |
Embedded contactless RFID chip with 4K/8K Memory. |
Encrypted data storage on RFID of driver’s Information including fingerprint template. |
Issuance System for issuance, renewal, cancellation or modification of licenses. |
Traffic Violation System to record violations, tickets and penalties of drivers. |
Seamless integration with Vehicle Registration Systems and Handheld devices. |
Centralized data storage and backup. |
| |
| Central Data Centre |
| The Central Data Centre for the e-Drivers License system serves as the focal point for all activities in Drivers License branch and all violation
management units. The web application server hosts web services and
applications that are available on the Wide Area Network. Limited tracking and searching facilities are also available on the internet for customer
service. |

| The Benefits |
e-Driver’s License cards are extremely hard to counterfeit and immediately minimizes the chances of identity theft. |
The system provides better control and transparency for traffic authorities to effectively counteract traffic offences. |
All operations are linked for e-Driver’s license issuance at different stations under a cohesive system. |
The Issuance system automates and speeds up issuance of the RFID based driving licenses from traffic police stations or relevant offices around the country. |
Electronically record and administer traffic violations through the Traffic Violation System. |
A central database ensures that traffic violation history is available to all relevant authorities. |
Traffic authorities can control and subsequently increase revenue collection with immediate reconciliation in all centers by registering revenue details accurately. |
Payments can easily be made through kiosks or authorized counters. |
